Yes, we're a young culture (in the US) that worships work as the highest good, yet wonders why everyone is so miserable and we're shooting everyone in sight. There's more to life than just preparing people for a job (which they will most likely be fired from, or want to quit anyway). Maybe the larger discussion is demistifying the culture of college so people realize you don't just have to go to an Ivy League school to make it. Any college can prepare you for a life of learning and success--and you don't have to go into debt for it, thanks to scholarships and some lower-cost schools that aren't elite. Too often, students are paying for the football team and the coaching staff.
