I agree that it goes against our inner nature, but the same thing could be said about greed, violence, racism, etc. We can easily overcome these things with effort and mindfulness, and of course, education. That's why so many people resist it, because it doesn't come naturally. But education teaches us how we can become better than our ego-driven natures. Anyone is capable of an education, otherwise, we wouldn't have the brains and the imagination to do it.
